Editor and Terminal

• Neovim — learned in a weekend to get off VSCode to run more Docker containers locally. Config is public at github.com/jacobdcastro/nvim-config.
• Ghostty — favorite terminal emulator.
• Orca — the worktree IDE for AI coding agents, and my daily agent driver. onorca.dev.
• JetBrains Mono + Atom One Dark — this combo is just pretty.
• zsh — shell.

Hardware

• MacBook (M1, 2020, 13-inch), 16 GB RAM — hence the switch to Neovim.
• Magic Keyboard.
• Magic Trackpad.
• Magic Mouse.
• Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen).

Home Lab

• Raspberry Pi 5 (8 GB RAM) — with added 512 GB NVMe drive, used as a home server.
• Hermes — an AI assistant I run at home on the Pi.

Languages and Frameworks

• TypeScript first, then Python where the models live and Rust where the bytes matter. SQL throughout.
• React, Node.js, Effect, GraphQL, TanStack Query, Zod, and Tailwind.

AI Tooling

• Claude Code and Codex CLIs — daily drivers, both run inside Orca.
• Cursor — enjoying it lately, though still more experimental for me than the CLIs.
• xiv.sh — my own agent-driven engineering workflows. I don't reach for it on everything.

Dev Tooling

• Jujutsu on top of Git — jj is the ideal day to day.
• Bun, Vite, and Biome.
• Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook for tests and components.
• Docker.
